Rotary Foundation of Media
The Rotary Foundation of Media is the non-profit 501(c)(3) arm of the Rotary Club of Media. 
 

The Foundation receives donations and runs fundraising projects to support local, regional, national and international projects.  It also partners with other Rotary clubs and The Rotary Foundation to receive matching funds for projects that are larger in scope. 

Some grants given recently include:

  • Media-Upper Providence Free Library Museum Passes
  • Media Arts Council Film Festival
  • Backpack and school supplies for students in need
  • Hurricane and wildfire relief
  • Computers for a school in Uganda
  • A well for a village in South Sudan (in partnership with NE Phila. and Cheltenham Rotary clubs)

In addition to contributions from members, the Foundation’s primary fundraiser has been an annual whiskey raffle in April or May each year.  The grand prize is a bottle of 15-year-old Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon with other prizes of outstanding Bourbon, Scotch, Irish and Rye whiskey.  Those attending the live drawing also have an opportunity to win door prizes and a variety of raffle baskets.
