The Rotary Club of Media recently presented Student of the Month awards to Penncrest High School students Maryam Bint-Khaliaf and Amiyah Camper.
Maryam is a senior who is active in Food4Philly, Girls Spark, the Human Relations Club and Student Equity Club. She is an honor roll student who plans on majoring in business/communications in college.
Amiyah is a junior and is in the World Language Honor Society and the National Honor Society. She is the manager of the boys basketball team and volunteers at the Media Food Bank. She won third place in the national Chinese exam.
The awards were presented by Rotarian Courtney Ballauer who chairs the Student of the Month team.
