The Rotary Club of Media welcomed two Penncrest High School students, Noelle Sok and Makayla Johnson, as their students of the month for March.
Noelle is an eleventh grade student who is a member of the National Art Honor Society and the Hi-Q team, and academic team of which she will be the captain next year. She enjoys volunteering at CCDelco Nursery School, artistic painting, reading, listening to music and baking.
Makayla is a Penncrest Senior who is a member of the National Art Honor Society, and the Science, Math and History honor societies. She has been on the varsity women’s basketball team for four years as a point guard. She is a member of the NAACP, volunteers at Media Presbyterian church and at the Lewis “Jumbo” Johnson MYC, and works part-time at Scooped Ice Cream in Media. She has received the University of Rochester Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony award. Makayla’s future plans are to attend Alvernia University majoring in Healthcare Sciences and to become a physical therapist.
