The Rotary Club of Media recently recognized two Penncrest High School students for their achievements in the school and community.
Brendan Hefferan is an eleventh grade student who is captain of the indoor track team and first team All-Central for the 4 x 400 relay team. He is also first team All Central cross country and second team all-Delco cross country, receiving the Larry Simmons Award for the fall of 2022. He is on the National Honor Society and Treasurer of the Future Business Leaders of America club at Penncrest. He is a Nativity BVM community volunteer through their CYO program and food drives.
Olivia Truocchio is a high school senior and captain of the varsity dive team. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society and the Rho Kappa Honor Society. She plays the trumpet in the Wind Ensemble, piano in the Jazz Band and is a drum major in the marching band. She was named first chair for trumpet in the PMEA District Band and Orchestra. Olivia plans a career in nursing.
