The Rotary Club of Media welcomed two Penncrest High School students, Eva Chen and Brianna Lemisch, as their students of the month for December.
Ms. Chen is an eleventh grader who is in the Pi Lamba Sigma honor society, the Rho Kappa honor society, the Mu Alpha Theta honor society and the World Language honor society. She has received the Penncrest Academic Excellence Award and won the District Mandarin Chinese contest. She is a member of the school’s World Wide Pride club and Human Relations club and volunteers at elementary schools, township events and clean-up events. She enjoys reading, playing the guitar and baking.
Ms. Lemisch is a senior at Penncrest and is treasurer of both the math honor society and the science honor society. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, the English honor society, the History honor society and the World Language honor society. She plays violin in the school orchestra and is President of the string/chamber ensemble council. Brianna founded the Penncrest Environmental Impact Club and is an AP Scholar with honor. She is a volunteer and youth leader at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County. She plans to major in biology in college and would enjoy a career as a biologist, wildlife conservationist or researcher.
