(l-r) James Meinel, President of the Rotary Club of Media and Anthony Cavaliere, President of the Rotary Foundation of Media present a check to Nicole Snyder, Assistant Director of Family Support line. The gift of $2,000 was made possible by a $1,000 grant made by the Rotary Foundation of Media from member contributions and fund-raising, and a matching $1,000 grant from Rotary District 7450.

Family Support Line’s mission is to advance and prevent the treatment of child sexual abuse. Their services see that children and families get the help they need to be safe, heal, break the cycle of abuse and thrive. The funds will be used for the agencies “safe room,” where children can go to pick out stuffed animals, or clothing or new bedding, all of which are designed to provide comfort and a sense of safety. Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self,” and the foundation’s motto is “Doing Good in our Community” and this gift embodies both slogans.

The Four-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:
  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
