The Rotary Club of Media, along with Rotary District 7450 has sponsored Free Museum passes provided by the Media-Upper Providence Free Library. The library passes are available to any Delco Library cardholder and allow two adults and usually 3-4 children (or grandchildren) to have free admission to the museum. They are available on a first come first served basis and only one pass can be provided for a family at a time. They can be borrowed for three days and are not renewable.

The Media Rotary wanted to expand the library’s offerings to include more gardens, encouraging residents to enjoy the beautiful flowers and other plants that depend on pollinators to produce. Rotary International is currently working to increase the number of pollinators and the Media Club, as part of that emphasis is planting several pollinator gardens, including milkweed, which is critical to the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly. It will be planting a pollinator garden on May 20 at the Jaisohn Memorial House, 100 E. Lincoln St. in Media.

The Museums sponsored by the Media Rotary and Media District 7450 include: The James John Audubon Center in Audubon, PA; Chanticleer in Wayne, PA; the Mt. Cuba Center, Hockessin, DE; the Japan American Society, Philadelphia; Philadelphia Magic Gardens, Philadelphia; Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion, Philadelphia; as well as the Independence Seaport Museum, Philadelphia; the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, Strassburg, PA and the Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia.
