The Rotary Club of Media welcomed two Penncrest High School students, Kyle Cunningham and Leo Ouyang, as their students of the month for October.

Mr. Cunningham is an eleventh grade student who plays on the varsity football team as a linebacker and tight end. He was an honorable mention in his sophomore year for the All Central League. He also runs the 100 and 200 meter dash and is part of the four by 100 meter relay team in track and field. He is a member of the Aviation Club and Economic Club and and has been on the honor roll in both his Freshman and Sophomore years. Kyle volunteers at the Rose Tree Elementary Fall Festival, the Martin Luther King, Jr. day of service at Girard College, attended the organization of black aerospace professionals camp, and helps teach swimming at the Goldfish Swim Club.

Mr. Ouyang is a senior at Penncrest and is president of Mu Alpha Theta and the Code Honor Society. He is a member of the Pi Lamba Sigma honor society, the National Honor Society and the Schaff Honor Society. He is captain of the varsity soccer team, an honorable mention for All- Central and Delco soccer teams and a member of the FCDELCO soccer club. Leo volunteers at the Media Food Bank and Penncrest Envirothon which placed second nationally in the NCF Envirothon. He is a National Merit semi-finalist and an AP Scholar with distinction. He has applied to the University of Pennsylvana, New York University and the University of Michigan where he plans to major in finance, economics and computer science leading to a career as an investment banker or stockbroker.
