Whiskey Raffle – Thursday, June 8, 2023 – dinner at 6:15 & drawing at 7:15 PM

The Rotary Foundation of Media is officially kicking off sales for chances in its Whiskey Raffle. The raffle consists of five baskets of outstanding and hard to get whiskies with Pappy Van Winkle 15-year-old bourbon as the Grand Prize! Tickets are $40 each or three for $100 and the buyer determines in which basket to place their tickets. All tickets are then placed in the drawing for the Grand Prize. Basket 1 has Mucky Muck Orphan Barrel 25 year old Scotch; Basket 2 has Garrison Bros. Cowboy whiskey; Basket 3 has Bloody Oath Pact #8 whiskey; Basket 4 has both Kilbeggan 19 year old Irish Whiskey and WhistlePig 10 year old Rye Whiskey; and Basket five has Blanton’s, Eagle Rare and E. H. Taylor bourbons.
The drawing will be held at Margaret Kuo’s Kitchen in Granite Run on June 8, 2023 with dinner at 6:15 p.m. and the drawing (both live and on zoom) at 7:15 p.m. Tickets for the live drawing are $50 each with dinner included, though you do not have to be present to win. There will also be door prizes only for those attending the live event.
All proceeds from the raffle will be used for local and international community projects. This past year the Foundation has provided funds for the Media Food Bank; the Media Arts Council; Family Support Line and others. Internationally it matched funds from the club and individual members to contribute $5,000 to Shelter Box for Ukrainian refugees and a $76,000 Rotary International Global Grant for a Human Milk bank in Bengalaru, India, which was spearheaded by member Govinda Malya. In this latter project, $5250 was donated by the Media Rotary Foundation and donations from other clubs both in the United States and India were then matched by Rotary International Foundation to make this program possible.
Your contributions to the Rotary Foundation of Media makes these and other projects possible.
